Review of The Confident Bitch
As women and humans in general, we face a lot of difficulties in achieving our goals. One major issue which happens to be a problem is low self-esteem. Recently, I have realized that low self-esteem is an issue that a lot of people experience. While it may not be that serious for some, with it just occurring when they have happenings that make them question themselves and their value, other people have to deal with constant low self-esteem.
Wendy C Lewis, in her magnificent book, discusses low self-esteem and how to improve our self-esteem hereby, increasing our self-worth. She starts by telling us how low self-esteem hindered her growth and how liberated she felt after she was finally able to help herself. She further talks about how we are made to believe that our worth is tied to our external beauty and how seeking to attain beauty standards set for us without success leads to low self-esteem. Wendy pours her heart into this book and provides solutions. Read this book to find out more.
There's much to love about The Confident Bitch. First, I love the subject matter of the book. Self-esteem is something that troubles a lot of individuals and hinders them from achieving their goals. I love how the author allowed herself to be an open book while writing. She shared with us her insecurities, her strengths, and her current stage in the journey to becoming a better version of herself. Wendy's book comes from a place of experience and willingness to help others who are facing similar issues. This is a huge plus because it allows her to see things in the way that the reader would, as she has been there before. I especially liked the introduction, where the author told us a bit about herself and her journey.
The book explains in detail various concepts such as self-worth, assertiveness, mindfulness, and many more. Through this book, we understand the mindblowing effects that learning to say no can have on our lives. We learn how to tame our inner voice. We learn to be a happier version of ourselves. I loved how relatable most of the author's experiences were. It shows that she really went through this and understands. At some point, while reading, I was shocked by how accurate she was in her descriptions. I also found some of her words to be very thoughtful. For instance, where she said, "It is hard to accomplish anything when the goals you set are unrealistic." The book is extremely educative as we get to learn concepts like perfectionism and are told the importance of setting boundaries and how all these affect our growth.
There was nothing to dislike about this book. The book was professionally edited. This leads to me giving the book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. The book was more than I hoped it would be, and I enjoyed every bit of it. There was nothing in the book to warrant the deduction of a star.
I recommend this book to people, especially women seeking to become a better version of themselves. This book offers insights into basic things that hinder our growth and proffers solutions

Indeed, the title is flamboyant. Wow, Emily, that sounds good to know that you got more confidence! That's right, what matters is what we say to ourselves. And I like your laugh, anyway. And to the reviewer, you've written a wonderful review!Emily Meadows wrote: ↑05 Dec 2022, 19:35 Bwah ha ha - I LOVE THE TITLE. Very catchy! As I have gotten older, I have found more and more self confidence. There is a lot of power in the ability to *mostly* stop caring what others think. Thank you for the great review!
