Review of E M P Honeymoon
[Following is a volunteer review of "E M P Honeymoon" by Dorothy May Mercer.]
E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is a work of fiction that portrays love, bravery, suspense, and conspiracy. The book reveals the story of Kelly McBride and Sergeant Tom Turbulo of the Carson City Police Department (CCPD), who just got married. When the story begins, the newlyweds are relaxing on a beautiful Caribbean island. Kelly goes shopping for gifts for her family in a store called La Pocilga (The Pigsty) and discovers a state-of-the-art lab, and then several men begin pursuing her. Thankfully, she manages to flee. Sadly, Kelly McBride and Tom Turbulo's luscious honeymoon becomes intertwined with a terrorist plot to blow up North America. The book further reveals how Kelly and Tom learn who is behind the cutting-edge lab and what they want to do. Would they inform the police? Find out!
The book is in the romance category. But the book also contains a lot of action and a thriller. The author's writing style is fancy. The plot is well-defined and structured. The setting was well researched. The book E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is an absolute thriller.
The imagery is adequate, and the book did justice by taking me on an imaginary trip as I flipped through its pages. Undoubtedly, readers will feel a sense of belonging when reading this novel. I was consistently able to foresee what would occur next. Dorothy May Mercer assigned suitable roles to the characters introduced in the book, making them endearing, thrilling, and heroic.
One aspect of Dorothy May Mercer's book, E M P Honeymoon, that readers will like is the use of cutting-edge technology, such as the typical smartphone utilized in the book. I also enjoy the humor the story offers. The book is suspenseful. Hence, a nice laugh helped reduce the flurry of activity.
I didn't find anything to dislike or negative about this book. However, I didn't appreciate Su-performance Jin's at the beach. When Steve approached her, she was too soft and unprofessional; she played naive and blew her cover. I was disappointed. This scene made the book uninteresting. I also did not fancy the book's cover. The book's cover does not suggest a honeymoon or conspiracy, which is the book's main idea.
The book E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is excellently edited, thrilling, suspenseful, and well-structured. Given the circumstances, I rate the book E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer a perfect 5 out of 5 stars.
