I definitely agree with these ideas. I felt like a lot of the book was just trying to prove why Christianity is correct instead which felt very forced and aggressive to anyone not of that faith.Aloe Crane wrote: ↑04 Jan 2023, 00:16 I don't know if I got the wrong book or something, but it feels like it. I compared the reviews here and the Amazon description with the book itself, and found that the book is just advertising for religious beliefs. Though I liked the parts that actually had to do with the content of the book, I felt like I was slugging through religious advertising for around seventy-five percent of the book. The writing style was fine, but I would've preferred the author not to feel as defensive about us non-religious folk, it put me off when they tried to blatantly convert me with sources and facts from at least thirty years ago. Again, I quite liked the author, but seeing opinions without facts just wretched my heart. This was clearly not much of a self help book for atheists, or anyone not of the same religion, as it is religious in its genre, which I didn't think would matter, initially. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone, simply because I felt like it did not answer any of the questions it set out to do.

Thanks for your honesty and candid reply. I’m a believer, and this book sometimes rubbed me the wrong way. I think the author had good intentions, but sometimes the religious zealot can make a good message unattractive. There were several topics I felt he was ranting about, and it was off putting. I also hate when authors use the King James Version of the Bible. That to me speaks volumes of how conservative you are.Aloe Crane wrote: ↑04 Jan 2023, 00:16 I don't know if I got the wrong book or something, but it feels like it.
