Most people live their lives working and spending the money they worked for at the same time, without planning for the future. It is not wrong to posit that nowadays, the expenditure costs are higher than the income, and even at that, we ought to plan. This is the message the author tries to pass on to us through this book. Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a book that borders on planning for the future, especially for retirement. The author tries to make us understand the importance of reconfiguring our lives. This is a result of his comment that most people, after their retirement, tend not to have enough to take care of themselves. He says that reconfiguring our lives is possible at any age, as long as you set your mind to it. The author pointed out that for it to work well, we ought to have a budget. A budget helps us limit the spending of our money on unnecessary things. This is just a small tip from the book; he talked about lots more, like social security, the importance of income, investments, a savings plan, and other things that can help you reconfigure your life. Find out more from the book.

This book is wonderful, and I enjoyed many aspects of the book. Firstly, the inclusion of stories by the author in the book made it more lively and also helped drive the information home. I enjoyed the story of the poor and wise farmer the most. The author's style of writing is another thing I admire. The book is written in first-person narrative, and the author writes like he is having a face-to-face discussion with a client. This also helped drive the message home.

The language used is easy to understand, even for a layman. The organization of the book in chapters, with each chapter handling a different topic or phase, is a good one. This book is exceptionally well edited; I didn't encounter any grammatical or typographical errors while reading.

I have no dislike for or dissatisfaction with the book; everything seems to be in place for me. I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.

Since this book is mainly about planning for one's retirement, I recommend the book to people who are in their late 50s and above. They need to read it and know the importance of planning for the future. It is never too late to start.
