'Official Review: Either Peace or War' by Graydon McWilliams has a potent introduction. I like the way the reviewer explores the issues, the book raises. The point that the author reveals what is treated as either right or wrong in the military is worth mentioning in the review. Also, the point that the book addresses the issues of love for humanity and its consequences, and death, as mentioned in the review, is remarkable for readers. It was great to learn that the book is action-packed with lots of history that would keep us enlightened and informed, making us want to know more!

I miss war", who indeed would say that when peace is what everyone is asking for. But you're right, even though majority may think this inside, they won't admit it out loud, because of what other would think of them. So I'd like to congratulatee the author, Graydon Mcwilliams on saying it out loud, no matter what anyone thought of him! According to the reviewer the soldiers became soldiers because
Eventually, I came to appreciate that the thrills and horrors of war can only be understood by those who have been on the battlefield.
-and now I can appreciate that too. You made a very good point and I'm dying to read this book. Thank you for a great review!

The first sentence caught my attention and made me wonder why someone would miss the war. I am curious to find out what war the author will describe and what memories he truly wants to remember. This book does sound interesting and makes me wonder how detailed it truly is.

I was just as startled at the opening of the book as you were. I too, enjoyed the openness of his work. His neither right nor wrong attitude was a little gruff at first. However, like you, I warmed up to him as it went along. Your review is great. Thank you for all of your hard work.

Thank you for your great review. I'm glad you liked it. From the sample, I could tell that the book was well-written. It sounds like a book for those that enjoy books about adventure and war. This is not my type of book, so I will pass on it and let others read it.

I honestly do not understand what this book is about, I read the review over and over again and all I understood is that he is honest and misses war. But why? What else does the author talk about?

Congrats on BOTD. It seems veterans will relate to the author's feelings when they think about the battlefields.

The first paragraph definitely caught my attention. I like that it was mentioned that Grayson spoke his mind. I like someone who speaks their mind and is to the point. Thank you.

The sample and the review both indicated a book that would be great for those who enjoy reading about war, battles, and a soldier's daily life. As this is definitely not a genre that I like to read, I will be giving this wonderful book a pass. Kudos to the author for attaining BOTD honors and to the reviewer for writing a compelling review that almost made me forget my avoidance of that type of genre!

It must be some sort of fate that today is the day I found myself here, attempting to win a raffle by posting a reply to this book review." I miss war" is a sentence I truly believe my husband could feel free enough to say. He spent several years in Afghanistan and he would never admit it, but he misses it terribly. They develop values and comraderie over there that we as civilians can never understand and I think it's beautiful that this author has written a book that will give us a glance into that private world. I've often felt that I missed a big part of what makes my love who he is. I look forward to reading this perspective.
