A book that starts with “I miss war” seems rather bizarre. I'm tempted to pick up this book to understand why that opening line is there. Congratulations on a well-thought-out review.

Most people when they hear the word “War” they become scared and want distance from. To know that someone might miss war it’s quite intriguing, it made me want to read the book. The review it’s great because it gives us an idea of what we can expect. The fact that the review says the book kept its plot Is great because I don’t like books that loose the plot. And I could not forget the “huezielewa” being African it caught my attention haha.

This book is an informative read for those interested in understanding the experiences of soldiers as they transition back to civilian life. Although it may not be my preferred genre, I can envision readers with an interest in military history finding it enjoyable. Congrats on botd!

Reading about war is very painful for me and seeing that the author has a first hand experience, I can imagine how vivid the descriptions can be. The reviews makes me understand that the book is quite an interesting one. However, after reading the sample pages on Amazon, I will not continue. It is honestly not for me. Congratulations on being the book of the day by the way.

The technique employed in writing this book is quite strategic, and I commend Graydon, the author of this book, for such immense effort. The admission, "I miss war," is both personal and didactic. I would like to know about about the circumstances surrounding this admission.

After reading the review of this book, I must admit that seeing the statement that someone misses war has me intrigued. I can't imagine that. The history in the book also appeals to me. Congratulations on the book of the day.

Sometimes the secret to reading good books lies in picking books with mind-blowing titles. I can say that I love the title of this book even though I'm usually not attracted to war books. I would love to read this book about Sergent and what he has to say. Congratulations on BOTD.

That first sentence truly caught my attention. This is not a book I usually read. But I may read the sample to see the start of the story.

The opening line filled me with apprehension, because it is not just any writer who can keep up the level of suspense after opening with a punchline like that. That applies to both the author of the book and the writer of the review. I actually felt bad in advance for both of them, so it was with utter relief that I read the rest of the review. Not only does the author of the book live up to the expectation he created, but the review writer manage to do the same with her review.
Well done to both of them! :techie-studyingbrown:

A book where the author talks about war, how people view it, and the right way people are supposed to be viewing it. I like how the author revealed what is treated as either wrong or right in the military. I also like how the author was able to capture readers' attention despite being a book that talks about what people don't really like. I'm glad you enjoyed reading the book. Nice review.

The statement that the author misses war is quite intriguing. I am curious to see what the author has to say about the military. This book sounds interesting so congratulations on BOTD.

This book starts strong by capturing the minds of the readers and making them think about why the author misses war. I think those who are fascinated by the life of a soldier during deployment and the effects of what they have witnessed on their psyche would most likely want to finish reading the title.
Congratulations to the author for BOTD!

The author's outlook is certainly intriguing. However, I am often not comfortable reading stories that describe wartime scenes. I will have to pass this one. Thanks for the awesome review!
