In the heart of Washington, Senator Mike McBride has Cynthia Patterson as his bodyguard and main investigator. She serves as his secretary (undercover) and manages the workplace's security, making sure everything is in order and no one enters his office. In order to deal with the numerous terrorist threats they have been receiving via computer systems, Cynthia has recently contacted her brother, Glenn Patterson, for assistance. Glenn owns a private investigation firm that uses cutting-edge technologies to conduct its business. To aid them in this battle against cyberwar, he hired two further geeks named Garth and Tim. After meeting Sky Eastman, Cynthia's life took an unexpected turn. At this point, her three-year relationship with Dan was growing monotonous. How is Cynthia going to handle herself? In this intriguing book, you'll find the solution.

The story Cynthia and Dan: Cyber War by Dorothy May Mercer has a romantic, thrilling, and technologically savvy subject. I adored how clear-cut and concise the author was in her writing. There were some storyline twists and surprises, making it a fascinating read. In this book, Cynthia is portrayed in a manner I find appealing. She works hard and is intelligent. How many more women are occupying positions of responsibility today says a lot. I also respect Glenn's character for risking both his life and that of his job to ensure the safety of the nation's residents. Even in today's environment, there is a group of people who perform extensive background work but whom we rarely hear about. Senator Mike is also a very sympathetic employer. Rarely do we see bosses drop all they are doing to assist their staff, regardless of the risk that they will become soiled with blood.

There are a few other aspects of this book that I don't enjoy. First off, despite Sky's claims to be a moral man who is aware of God, he is very receptive to the idea of abortion. This says quite a bit about him. Additionally, I found it annoying that Cynthia cheated on her partner so quickly. She could have done better by ending the relationship first and being with the one she truly adores. Likewise, I felt like Dan looks more like a side character than the main character in the novel. Most of this novel had to do with Cynthia and Sky. And who rings up a complete stranger to propose? I saw a few loose ends like this.

I give this a rating of 3 out of 5 stars due to the aforementioned dislikes. The author made an attempt with the romantic element, and I applaud her effort to explain to her readers some of the book's flaws in a brief note at the end. This brief novel contains no errors. It has thus been expertly edited.

People who enjoy romantic novels should read this, in my opinion. Suspense, cyberespionage, and crime thriller readers will find it appealing as well.

The author did a good job of deploying her understanding of cyber warfare into the plot. Unfortunately, several loose ends made the book seem incomplete. The role of Sergeant Dan still confuses me. I enjoyed reading your review.

Sergeant Dan was my worst character... I disliked every bit of him, Cynthia wasn't even better. The book was still interesting and nice. Nice review!

Cynthia and Dan is a book loaded with fantasies. I love the kind of relationship Cynthia and Sky shared, though it seems too good to be true. Thanks for a great review.

Cynthia and Dan is a powerful book that teaches the readers a lot about technology and crime. I love have the author detailed the information on how they fought the terrorist organisation. Good job.

Cynthia and Dan seems like a rowdy book, seeing Cynthia having feelings for Sky even while dating Dan, it feels very informative on cyber war. Great review.

I expected more from this book. First of all, Cynthia was not a likeable protagonist. Her character was too lackadaisical and naive. Given that she is a security expert, she treats serious issues rather too casually. Also, the title of the book did not do justice to the plot. Dan was rather a minor character.

As much as the plot of this book is great, I disliked its development. There were not enough suspense and actions. Most of the answers falls in the readers’ laps so easily. Nice review!

I totally agree. I liked the plot but thought the title (and cover of the book) weren't great.

The mysteries behind discovering who sky Eastman is was the most appealing point in this novel to me. The plot and setting of this novel were detailed and intriguing.

I really wonder what steps Cynthia will take in her relationship and love life. Cynthia also seem to have some issues. I'll like to read the part on cyber war. Thanks for an honest review.
