Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
Matthew Tysz wrote the fantasy book We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies. Magic, mystery, and adventure abound throughout the book. This book chronicles the plight of common people living under the oppressive rule of the monarch, as well as power conflicts that pass for friendship, betrayal from presumed allies, and more. The author discusses the abuse of power, how envious many in positions of authority can be, and how they deceive and mislead the general populace to maintain their positions. The novel depicts a realistic modern civilization, demonstrating how the desire for power has destroyed society and had a terrible impact on each individual, but notably on those who are living in great poverty.
Galen Bray, a refugee who fled his post-war home and settled in Voulhire, serves as the protagonist of the tale. Having arrived in a nation that is more developed and intelligent, he learns not only about his new nation but also about the rest of the world, including his previous country of origin. He gradually learns to identify the hints dispersed across numerous people that eventually explain how humans and the universe are related. But even among the highly educated Voulhirians, there are others whose motives are not purely altruistic. They are people who want to destroy the Earth, grab all the power it has to offer and use it as a stepping stone to control other planets. However, Galen is also learning through all of this, and he will eventually find out how the ambition of difficult individuals will impact the country he is falling for.
The author's devotion to both word and character construction made me like the book. Additionally, I believe that the book has a sense of originality due to the way reality and philosophy are combined, which piques the interest and curiosity of the reader. The book is enjoyable in addition to being simple to follow. From the very first page, the novel was action-packed with adventures.
There isn't anything in particular about this fantastic book that I dislike; I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The storyline was quite realistic.
I gave the book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars because I liked how engaging and enjoyable it was. The book was properly edited and error-free. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a gripping fantasy novel that doesn't focus on romance as much as usual. This is an intriguing narrative that will appeal to those who like stories about magic, mystery, politics, and conflict.
