Sexual Abuse is a sensitive subject to discuss, but the story sounds interesting. Thank you for the great review.

Sexual abuse has always been a difficult topic of discussion. Despite that, the author appears to have done a wonderful job navigating the murky waters in this fictional work. Congratulations on being BOTD.

I would love to know what happens after Madison was kidnapped. The fact this can be read as a stand alone novels is exciting.

Nice review, though I was a bit confused because I haven't read the book. However, I did get that the storyline was suspenseful, dramatic, and full of action, so this seems like a really good book.

The book seems pretty interesting and emotional. Unfortunately situations of sexual assault happen quite often. Not everybody can cope with the aftereffects of a sexual assault and only manages to continue with some professional help. It is the continuation of the first book and it will be interesting to read and find out how Madison coped with the situation. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting young adult story about a woman who was assaulted and moves to Baton Rogue with her daughter to try to get over the past. Between new boyfriends and dark secrets being revealed, she is feeling estranged from her daughter Justice. To make matters worse, the man who assaulted her has escaped before his trial and now she is looking over her shoulder concerned that he may come after her and her daughter. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

Madison was sexually harassed, twice she was heartbroken, and also kidnapped. This is too much for her, I hope she survives the trauma. Congrats on BOTD

The story looks like a complex blend of family drama, forbidden romance, and bouncing back from abuse and trauma. It seems to advocate finding a voice and fearlessly raising it against injustice. Congratulations on Book of the Day!

I think I would want to read the first book to understand what happened to Madison more. I do like that the author was able to continue her story by using her being kidnapped as the basis. Thanks for the great review!

The second book in the series, the book is filled with suspense, drama, and trauma, and is an emotional rollercoaster. Madison's trials and growth are exciting to follow here. Congrats on BOTD.

Madison seems like a brave girl willing to stand up for herself, no matter the consequences. This could be a hopeful book for those who have experienced sexual assault.

This book seems to have a very predictable storyline. I'm not a fan of reading anything that includes sexual abuse, so I think I'll give this one a pass. It's interesting that you note that the book can easily be read and understood without reading the first book in the series, as this is not normally the case. Great review.
