'The Hunger Games' was a very enticing series. The first book grabbed me, and I fell in love. I admit, it wasn't what I expected. I thought that it was an apocalyptic story where it discusses in detail the events of the crisis, then 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' was the retaliation. As for 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay' I had no idea what it would be, the name did not suit the apocalyptic scenario I was imagining.
As I said, the book grabbed me. I probably read 'The Hunger Games' in 70 hours maybe. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' took me only 16 hours to read, it was that exciting. 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay' I read quite a bit slower, probably 60 hours.

I really want to read this book but it is never at my local library because somebody has already got it. I've watched the movie though and that was great can't wait for catching fire.

Liked this book. Defiantly wondering how they are going to pan these into movies when they didn't even follow through on the first one with things that happened. But the books were good. I did audio e books from the library and listened as they were read to me while doing household chores. Enjoyed it lots. I also read parts of the book online while i had a chance. I have imagined things that they will put in the movies. I wonder if any of my imagination on things is going to come to be in the movies as they way i protraid things. I was a little disappointed she did end up with who i was hoping for but in the end i was still happy.

I loved the whole trilogy up until the end.
The last few chapters I was just like NOOO why do they kill this character? And NOOO why does she pick THAT guy?!?!?
And then when I redhead it, on like the fifth time through the last book I was like OHH I get why She didn't pick him!
Anyways on a side note IN THE MOVIE I was so pissed that buttercup was not a yellow cat. And no Madge. And all the little tidbits they got wrong just to bother me. Like hellloooo where is drunk haymitch tumbling of the stage??
Ok, I am done. I could go on and on for a long time but I will spare you my drama.

I like the first book the most. The story in the first book is really intense, i couldn't stop wondering what is going to happen next, and i really liked the bits of romance between Katniss and Peeta... The second one however is less intense, the story isn't as exciting as the first one, i would describe it as "slow".. the third one is better than the second one in my opinion but if i would prefer if Suzanne Collins would elaborate more on the oh god so sweet ending of Katniss and Peeta.

Overall the entire series left me dumbfounded, speechless, stuck in that world and find it extremely hard to come back to reality (more like i don't want to haha). I kind of like the world where they are in, the only reason is because they are all leading a simple life, unlike the world we are in now, too much complexity for me... So, in conclusion the author did a really great job in pulling me into the story. It was as if i'm living inside the story too. Too bad there's only three books. =(

I loved this series. I read all three books in a weekend,I just couldn't put them down. My fav has to be the first in the series. The world portrayed was so new. The idea of sending children to fight to the death was so catching, i had to know how they fared through the rest of the series.

I thought the Hunger Games started out strong; however, by the middle of the third book, I had completely lost interest. So much so, I didn't finish it.

I really enjoyed this series. Although I felt the ending of the third book could have been done differently as I had to re-read it in order to understand what had happened. I can understand we people get confused in the third book but I felt that it was worth reading it as it did bring the series to a conclusion.

I absolutely loved this series! I was reading the second one on a plane returning from vacation and everyone who passed me stopped to tell me how much they loved the book too. The first was an amazing introduction into the characters lives and the second kept me on the edge of my seat. I was sad to finish the last as it meant the end but with any luck there might be another at some point down the road. One can only dream

This book was so amazing and intriguing. I absolutely loved it, and had it finished in a short amount of time. It's very different. I had the whole series finished within a two week time period. I was so fascinated with the first book, i just had to go out and find the second and third books. I definitely recommend this series to anyone who loves to read.

The Hunger Games was a great series. But I am also surprised by how many people did not like the third book, or some of the final outcomes. I think the author has well prepared you for death and hard choices, so I did not find it surprising. Did my heart ache just a little? Of course, but I don't think any of the events were unexpected. Also, by the third book, you have all the mythology for the universe already. At that point 100% of the book has to be the action and story at hand. Maybe the first book is more appealing to some, because they like the mythology of the new world and that is what draws them to a story.

I love Hunger Games, the first book was great, I kind of didn't like her sister death in the third part; but it still one of my favorite books.

I had a really hard time with this series. I know how popular they are, but they just didn't do it for me. I was only able to read the first book.I don't mind reading graphic books when it comes to war, so I know that wasn't what I didn't like about it. I have also read books about kids fighting. I don't really know, but I just can't jump on the wagon for this series. The details were good, but I think I mostly had a problem with the main character, Katniss. I found her to be a bit of a jerk. Poor Peta was trying so hard to get her to like him and to make their TV relationship look real, but Katniss just wouldn't budge. To me, she seemed as emotionless as Kristen Stewart portrays Bella Swan. I have yet to finish the series, and I have a feeling that I never will.

I love the HG series. I'd have to say the second book is my favorite, mostly because Finnick Odair is such a colorful character. I don't agree with your opinion on the third book. I honestly think it went by very smoothly and i fully enjoyed it. The series will always be one of my favorites.
