God is our first parent

The relationship between parents and children is the earthly representation of the relationship between God and man. God made man in His own image. What does that say? He created a being that looks similar to himself. How is it that we take after our parents? God is our guardian, and comforter. Isn't that just like the relationship between a parent and a child.?
God is our provider. How is it that we depend on our parents for nearly 75 percent of everything we need on earth. Not just for material things, but for moral and emotional support, advise, cautioning guidance etc. God is love.
In essence what I'm saying is, God is our parent

I totally agree, God is our parent thus the phrase "God the Father" in the Christian belief. He created man similar to Himself in regards to us striving to act more like Him.
