I do not enjoy watching horror movies. I don't buy the idea of one horrifying oneself. I prefer comedy movies where I get to laugh and have a good time.

I like watching horror movies, its all about the arenaline rush. I just don't prefer watching them at night, because then I
get nightmares or I scare myself thinking something is after me :lol2:

The more I watch horror movies, the less I become scared of certain things.

I'm always scared to watch horror movies but I do get scared easily. Even if I want to watch horror movies I prefer to watch them in midst of people especially my friends

I really like horror movies because of the adrenaline rush of fear which I find very thrilling. I enjoy feeling being scared in a controlled environment. Additionally, they are a great way to overcome fears.

I think I like watching the sick and twisted things authors and directors can come up with to keep me entertained. Every time I watch a horror movie I am thinking about how the director came up with the plot and the death scenes.

I like the suspense, jump scares, sometimes the silence in the movies are more scary than jump scares, and I would love to see what new concepts they bring in with the ghost and the way they interact with people. There was one movie, supernatural thriller - where they used silence as the best tool, no constant screams, creepy sounds - I really enjoyed it - but I forgot the name of the movie. But sadly, these days most of the supernatural horror make me sleep - and the gory horror ones are not my cup of tea.

I love horror movies, I think the first one I saw as a kid was "Chucky" it was really scary but still I went for it. There are other horror movies that I've seen, a lot of them. They don't scare me anymore.

It’s been a while since a good horror. Movie came out, but I like the adrenaline rush and the thrill of it.

The thrill and the adrenaline. I haven't had a good horror movie in a long time now because most movies that come out nowadays aren't as horrific. No chills just funny.

Out of all the horror movies I have watched none of them have disappointed me when it comes to plot, acting and mystery. I like horror movies with clifhangers and one that make you think about how and why thinks turned out the way did. Also the fact that horror movies are best enjoyed at night, my favourite time of the day, makes me like them even more.

I love horror movies! For a lot of reasons. I really like content that keeps the viewer on the edge of their seat, wondering what's going to happen - to me, genres like romance and comedy don't really have that attention-grabbing aspect. I also really like exploring the themes of darkness within the world, humanity, etc.; I find that sort of thing fascinating, whether it's based in reality or supernatural elements. Horror is also a way to experience fear in a controlled environment, which I really enjoy - ironically, it can be almost a comfort watch sometimes, because whatever I'm bothered by doesn't compare to what these characters are experiencing on screen. I also find that there can be a lot of originality in horror as well, because the writers/actors/directors can explore concepts that are out of place n other genres.

Jumpscare jumpscare jumpscare. And twist and turns. My whole family is a fan of horror movies.

When movie is too scary I cover my eyes but still watch the whole movie from between my fingers. :mrgreen2:

It has become a tradition with two of my closest cousins. We used to always sleep together in the summer when we went to our village, and we always chose the worst, dumbest, cringest horror films to watch. Of course, we were like ten so immediately after watching those, we would put some random Barbie film to act as a buffer... Over the years, it just became a tradition, I guess, and now that our parents have houses next to each other in our village, we see each other much more frequently, so we are watching a ton of it. It's honestly so relaxing because we have developed kind of an immunity to it hahah.

Watching Freddy's Nightmares when I was a teenager. I was so intrigued that I wanted to watch the movies it was based on. Since I was only around 15 at the time, I had to get my Mom to rent the original for me and bought the movies on VHS shortly after. I still enjoy them and watch the original Halloween movies every Halloween at my parents' place (since AMC isn't in my current cable/internet package and I don't own any of them). I also enjoy Stephen King (both books and adaptations) and am still bummed that Under the Dome got cancelled after three seasons, because I quite enjoyed it even though it often deviated from the book (I'm no book purist, so I don't mind changes and/or additions with any kind of adaptation).
