The book started great; before I knew it, I had read a lot more than just a sample. But then I felt the impending doom, and I didn't think I could hang in there with Frank's temper and abuse. It's also challenging to follow a fight against cancer, although that may be helpful for some readers. I love the author's writing style, and the book review was nicely written.

Interesting book. Being in an abusive relationship isn't easy. I wonder how the characters in the story, especially the protagonist, would cope up through their pain.

If I didn't know this was a murder mystery based on the description, I wouldn't have guessed this to be so. I read several chapters and was immediately pulled in with the poetic language. Great review!

For me it is a heavy read as the book contains sensitive topics such as dealing with cancer, abusive marriage, and also a crime murder? but I like that the author's writing style could provide the emotional level that was not overwhelming. Sounds like not so stressful reading experience. Glad to know that you enjoyed the story. Thank you for a nice review.

The summary of this review is captivating and interesting. The life of Katie is tough, heartbreaking, and lonely. One can only imagine the trials she encountered on her path, therefore I wish she eventually finds happiness in this novel. Congrats on BOTD!

I'm very familiar with reading about such issues like abuse. I liked this review and I hope to find out for myself how Katie handles the struggles she has to deal with. I think it's a wonderful book

I can already feel the plight of Katie from the review though it's a work of fiction. People today suffer from certain issues that need one to have a strong faith and hope in God. Congratulations on the botd and a well written review.

Your review makes a frame for flowers sound like a beautiful read. Beautiful as in how the characters overcome the obstacles in their lives and persevere, even when they feel so broken-hearted at times. Thank you for the review :)

Katie seems to have gone through a lot. Being diagnosed of cancer at the age of 37 is disheartening. I would love to know how she survive through this great ordeal. Congrats on the BOTD.

"A Frame for Flowers" by Sean Storin is a fictional story set in Boston about the life of Katie Kelley but begins when she is 37 years old. The story does flash back to when Katie was 18 when both of her parents died. She used the money from the estate to send her brother to school. She met Frank Bruno when she was young and lovely and the story details the abusive relationship she had with Frank. Katie was diagnosed with cancer at age 37 and the book chronicles her life with cancer. Very good review.

This book follows the story of Katie's life as she struggled with the loss of her parents, coping with an abusive relationship and cancer. I especially like the way the story was written in Katie's perspective and how the story jumped through time. Congrats on the BOTD!
