A Dream for Peace is the iconic story of a man who was born in Algeria and was determined to bring liberty to his home country as well as to other African countries. The author, Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, told his story in this great book. His narration gave insights into his background, education, profession, religion, marriage, and life as a freedom fighter. Narrating his story, he recalled the crucial role his mother played in determining his career path. He was so determined to help his country gain independence from the French, who at the time was Algeria's colonial masters. He also did his part to help in the liberation and freedom of other African countries. He talked about the difficulties he faced both before and after his nation was freed, as well as how he overcame them. To find out how he was able to complete his mission, get a copy.

Knowing fully well what task lies ahead of him, he began his journey to success with his realization of the need to bring peace to his people. He formed alliances and friendships with people from other countries and was able to form a group whose interest was the liberation of Algeria.

I developed a greater awareness of myself and those around me as I read the book. He showed leadership characteristics by living out the values he preached, which include world peace, religious tolerance, and love. He was a devoted Muslim but related to people of different faiths; he recalled his encounter with the pope, Pope John Paul II, and his wife Titi taking holy Communion from the pope. He was also successful in his career, and according to him, he was a successful scientist who filled a knowledge gap by developing the Reverse Transcriptase Enzyme Theory in 1970. Nevertheless, despite his successes, he continued to defend his beloved nation.

The author did a great job outlining the methods he took to liberate his people from the French; there is nothing about this book that I dislike. Other liberation warriors who want to extricate their people from fear will find these strategies valuable. People can use his methods to improve their lives as well. One thing that captivated me was that he acknowledged his friend Dr. Nana Yalley for encouraging him to write his autobiography.

I give this book a rating of five out of five stars because, while reading this book, the author gave a summary of each chapter in the form of a quote and he added pictures, which, to me, made it more interesting. I applaud the author for providing a thorough account of his experience and achievements. As I detected no flaws in the book, I must also compliment the editor on a job well done.

I recommend this book to everyone, especially those who want to make the world a better place.

"A Dream For Peace" by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah is an interesting memoir about a man that dedicated his life for peace building. That he didn't have a child is one thing I didn't like in the author's life. Great book!

Dr Ghoulem Berrah has greatly sacrificed for the people of Algeria, and his sacrifice did not go unnoticed. His selflessness and duty led his nation into independence. I admire his determination and resilience.

Dr. Berrah is an interesting man and one who whose life can be used as a role model. He preached peace throughout his days, and advocated it more by marrying from the opposite religion. Nice review!

Dr. Berrah is a gift to Africa and I am most grateful that he was able to write this book before he died, I hope to see the Africa of his dreams soon.

This book is inspirational to anyone who reads it. One can see how much the author achieved by having grown up under the situation in his country and seeing the oppression in France. I admire the author's zeal towards his goals and how he achieved them. Thanks for your review.
