This is a unique storyline combining historical drama and a love story. I am intrigued by the main characters of Paganini and his tritone and a Catholic priest, Cafarelli. Thanks for the informative read.

Great review! You made the reading of a screenplay seem as enjoyable as reading a novel. Paganini sounds like a very intriguing protagonist for the basis of the screenplay as his life story does seem similar to some rockstars of today.

Book of the day BOTD is historical fiction happened in 1840 , author Richard Rees screenplay the book this time round his character Nicholas Paganini the world first music idols and greatest violinist his 40yrs in Europe filling theatres dies in south France he was an enemy of clergy who refused him Requiem mass claiming that his music was made with devil not his own genius talent his story was told through a papal inquiry. I find this stroys so challenging though it was well written and review

This is the first time I have encountered a BOTD here in OBC that is in the form of a screenplay, so I am naturally intrigued. This is why I was disappointed when I found out that the Amazon sample of the book only contains a foreword and none of the actual screenplay. I am also not familiar with the subject of the story (Paganini and his life), so I don't think I'll purchase this book.
Congratulations to the author for BOTD!

A historical book mixed with a love story, it's a classical screenplay but I'm not a fan of screenplays. Congratulations on book of the day.

This sounds like an interesting piece of historical literature. The fact that it's written as a screenplay makes this book an interesting read, indeed.

To be honest, I enjoyed the review and make a good sounds. Richard Rees left an artistic drawing of Paganini's character in this book. Considering that in front of Paganini, a religious priest. The balance of the script is constantly changing and creates a special tension in the audience. I enjoyed it and look forward to seeing the subtlety of the script in action on stage.

This well-written review makes me want to pick up the book even though I would not have selected a screenplay format to read on my own. Thank you!

A screenplay of a famous music idol who was refused a Requiem mass during his burial because of the events of his life sounds so intriguing.
Thanks for the well-written review and congrats to the author.

A historical drama in the book "Diabolus In Musica" by Richard Rees, which is based on the life of the celebrated Italian violinist and composer. This book appears interesting to me.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

This sounds fascinating, but, if I’m truly honest, I’m too lazy to read a screen play. That’s probably why I was never an actor ( or lack of talent!). I hope this comes to the big screen so I can say I read this wonderful review.

Paganini seems like one of those characters that we know so much about ad then also very little. While I'm not a fan of reading screenplays this one seems very interesting. I would be interested more in the scene type of storyline than one focused on music. Great review.

As someone who has written and critiqued several screenplays, I looked forward to reading the Amazon sample. The Review is terrific and interested me in taking a peek at the script. Unfortunately, there is no sample, other than a Foreword, to review. Nevertheless, congrats to the author on his achievement on what seems to be a fascinating topic.
