Screenplays are not so easy to read, but your review sounds interesting. The book sounds interesting to me, and it will be nice to read about the famous Italian pianist, Paganini.

What a great review, and Richard's screenplay surely deserves it. I too look forward to both reading and watching it - as a film or maybe even as a musical in a London's theatre :)

There’s always learning and inspiration time had from reading nonfiction so looking forward to digging into this novel to find out the highs and lows of Niccolo Paganini and how his talent helped him to where he was in his time. The title of this book is interesting and intriguing.

The assumption that the protagonist has made a deal with the devil makes this story fascinating. However, I'm less interested in this genre even though I thoroughly enjoyed this detailed review of the book.

Today's BOTD is a historical drama and love story in the format of a screenplay. It follows Paganini, a brilliant Italian violinist and composer who was thought to have traded his soul to the devil in exchange for his genius musical abilities. I've never read a screenplay before; starting with this one sounds like a great idea! Thank you! :-)

I’m not familiar with Paganini who is the subject of the story and I’m also not into screenplays. So while I’ll pass on this one, I’m sure others who have interest in it will like it.

Thank for this review .I appreciate already and hope to be able to read the whole book soon. This will allow me to see the positive aspects and the negative aspects if there are. To finish, see if it is an instructive book

What a great review, Brendan! I know close to zilch about classical music, but I am totally excited to read this work by Rees. It seems to hit all the right notes. I wonder if Paganini is now part of the heavely choir.

I’m really curious about whether he made a contract with the devil or not. Also, I appreciate that the screenplay format didn’t affect the readability of this book. Thank you for your wonderful review!

How interesting! Im unaware of both the author and the violinst whom this book/screenplay is about. Despite having bad experiences reading screenplays (looking at you HP and the Cursed Child) ill have to give this one a try.
It sounds very interesting.

Thanks for sharing!

The title is terrifying as well as the book cover. It sounds like Paganini is the story of a bad superstar. I haven't read a book like a screenplay yet, and I like to see if it fits me. Your review is very interesting to read. Congratulations to the author on BOTD!

Congrats on BOTD. This book seems to be appealing to those who are interested in screenplays and the story of Niccolo Paganini's deal with the devil.
