Now that's an interesting story. I would like to read it one day. Losing your face and fingers is terrible! It's a huge part of our identity and losing that would be devastating. Sounds intriguing. Thank you for your review. Can't wait to read the book when I get some time!

Memory loss and coping after something as traumatizing as losing ten fingers and face is not easy. Can't wait to read how this unfolds. Congratulations on BOTD!

I have read the first book a while back but have not read the second book yet. I enjoyed the first book very much. I especially liked the twists and the planning of his revenge. I’m looking forward to reading the sequel. Thank you for your review.

Thanks for the review. The tale of Matthias is intriguing. It looks exciting because of the author's distinctive narrative approach. The author did an excellent job.

Wow! This sounds like quite the series of books. Perfect for people who like to jump into a series and follow it to the end. I can't imagine waking up and realizing I am fully bandaged up - very scary. Congrats to the author on BOTD!

I’m not the biggest fan of the cover of this book. But I do like how it has different stories all in one. Congratulations on book of the day!

Vicious enemies brutalizing their foe and him seeking to pay back sound like an interesting storyline. It's unimaginable living faceless and fingerless not due to some accident but rather due to the intentional act of heartless people.
The gift turned out to be a curse. They killed him with kindness.

Imagine loosing ten fingers and your face. That is  a very tough situation for anyone to handle. I hope Matthias punishes those people who put him in such condition.

I like that they are two installments in one. I wouldn't have to wait after reading the first one to read the second. This is awesome.

Sounds like a twisted plot which could do really good on the screen. Probably not my type of book but I will maybe give it a try sometime. This would not be the first time when I enjoyed reading books that I initially said are not my kind. :techie-studyinggray:

This duo of books sounds like it has the potential to be a good revenge story. I enjoy crime thrillers, adventure, and personal discovery all on their own so hopefully I should love it! Thank you for the nice review.

"Callaghan, vol. 1 & 2" by Kim Ekemar brings us the story of Matthias Callaghan who wakes up in the hospital without a face and ten fingers. His wife Juliana will help him slowly regain his memory. Kim Ekman often alternates first-person narration with third-person narration.
