Oh my! Losing ten fingers and one's face? Already gruesome but intriguing of a read to me! I love thrillers! Thanks to your review, these two suspense narratives are added to my bookshelf of books I want to read!

Waking up in a hospital, with no idea who you are or what your life has been like, would be a frightening experience without the added trauma of having your face and fingers gone. Whoever is after Mathias must be not only ruthless but inhumane. I look forward to reading these books. Thank you for your review!

The story itself is unique. I have never heard a plot like this before. That itself make it interesting. I want to know how the character loses his face and fingers.

The Lost Identity Casualties (the first volume) that I read is full of suspense and I assume the second one (Where the Bones of a Buried Rat Lie) would be even better. Matthias Callaghan lost his identity, what he will do next ? Will he be able to take revenge? I am curious to know. Melchi Asuma, thanks for review.

I think there are better ways of solving certain problems than seeking revenge. Revenge will give rise to more harm and some innocents may be affected.

This sounds so intriguing. Imagine waking up with no hands and fingers. That sounds very terrible. I would like to read how Mattias went about his sorry situation. Good review.

I am stalk in between deciding to read this book or not. While I find the plot interesting, I doubt if I can cope with the gruesome nature of some scenes. I can't imagine an individual losing his face and ten fingers.

This writer must be a good storyteller. I'm already intrigued by the plotline. How did Callaghan take revenge against his enemies? I'd like to read the exciting tale of how. Great review.

Losing ones face is almost like losing their identity completely. I can't imagine how Callaghan had gone through the trauma of losing not only the face but also his fingers. This sounds like a very enjoyable crime thriller with great characters.congrats on BOTD!

I hope he clears up the secondary stories! That always bothers me. Saying he lost his face and fingers is a really good way to draw in readers. My face:

Collaghan is giving positive ideas about threats coming to life and how positively those can be changed. The author has written how adventurous characters take changes in life.
