This book certainly sounds like an intense, adventurous novel. I’m glad that it goes beyond just a romance story to include elements of a mystery and adventure story as well. Can't wait to read it. Congrats on BOTD.

I felt sad for Cooper, being abused as a child must be one of the toughest things. Congratulations BOTD.

Cooper's story is a mix of adventure, romance and violence. It deals with his childhood abuses too. This book has a great storyline.

I like books that address issues on domestic violence. I will be interested to read this book about Cooper and his dysfunctional family. Thanks for the review.

Sounds an interesting read. Not keen on too much profanity but willing to give it a try if it is integral to the plot.

Thank you so very much for this honest review. I am so sad that I won’t be reading the book. The storyline sounds so interesting to me. I just don’t read books with lots of profanity and/or sexual abuse/scenes.
You did a great job on your review!!

"Squeeze" by Hiram Davis is a romantic story but involves much more than romance. Cooper Landry is the main character and after surviving an abusive childhood at the hands of his stepfather and his older sister who sexually abused him he served in the Marines and then went to California to mine for gold. His mining was successful and he mett Quinn and a relationship began. Cooper soon learns that Quinn had been dating the sheriff and the sheriff was planning on killing him. The sheriff blew up Cooper's cabin and Quinn was injured and was in a coma. I look forward to reading this book that includes action, mystery, suspense and romance. Good review.

Being in a loveless family is depressing. Despite suffering from an abusive mother, stepfather, and sister and wanting to start over in California, luck doesn't seem to be cooperating with Cooper. Cooper appears to have experienced a lot. What Cooper and Quinn's future holds intrigues me. I'll put this book on my TBR list. Congrats on your BOTD! Thanks for the great review

I can't imagine how the protagonist managed to remain resilient despite the abuse he endured when he was young. His lover also experienced a terrible fate after they met. This intense novel is not for the faint of heart. Congratulations on the BOTD.

Wow. That's definitely a turn of event. Just when I thought Cooper will have a beautiful life with Quinn after his horrible childhood experiences. What's wrong with the sheriff anyway? He needs to get a hold of himself not go about committing atrocities.
