The Warrior Within: A Zealeth's Redemption by Rahmel Garner is an action-packed science fiction novel. The story revolves around Zirei and the obstacles he must overcome in his search for the zeal stones that will be employed to restore balance to Earth.

There was another race on Earth known as the Zealeths. The protagonist, Zirei, was one of them. He was found as a baby by the Scythor clan. They took him in as one of their own. He was trained to be a skilled warrior. He made the decision to embark on a mission and engage in combat with other warriors. Before his departure, his master described how he discovered him as a baby in the wilderness with a blue stone known as the zeal stone. His master handed him the zeal stone. During his journey, he lost his zeal stone and was informed of an old hermit who was in possession of a zeal stone. He found the old hermit, who was actually a zealeth. The elderly man explained to him that he was the zeal master, and it was his duty to bring the five zeal stones together and restore balance to the world. Will Zirei be successful? Read this book to find out.

The author did quite a commendable job. This book was action-packed and a short read. I loved the writing style. It was simple and easy to comprehend. All the characters were well-developed, and the story did not have a boring part. Zirei was easily my favorite character. His remorse for the bloodthirst he felt at the beginning of his quest was admirable, and his fervor to fulfill his destiny as the zeal master was also another thing I liked. Kavera seemed erratic to me. She consistently changed sides. She intended to aid Zirei after killing Master Furion, but she turned around and joined the Eroz army that was also searching for the zeal stones instead. She assisted in teaching Zirei and Visis the soul zeal technique later on, but she subsequently turned against them.

There were some things I did not like about this book. The focus of the plot veered away from Zirei discovering the zeal stones. One of the crucial elements was locating the zeal stones; it was disappointing that this changed halfway through. Even Reijura's scheme to unite the zeal stones and rule the world was put on hold. Also, we were not told how Master Zore died, and as an important character, I felt the readers needed to know.

Due to the reasons stated above, I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. It was error-free, showing that it was amazingly well-edited. I recommend this book to readers who enjoy books with a mix of action and science fiction.

The plot is quite interesting and I can see that it’s a little bit complicated. I’ll love to still read it though. Nice review you have there!

I was fascinated by Kavera's character and hopes she helps Zirei in finding the zeal stones.
Well-done.
