Review of Devil Among Us
Devil Among Us is the second book in Jack Winnick's Lara and Uri series. However, this book can be read independently. During a Yom Kippur service in New York, there was a horrific bomb explosion. Numerous individuals died as a result of this, and more were hurt. Unidentified terrorists committed this crime. As they investigate the incident, the FBI develops the notion that some of the perpetrators may have been inside the synagogue when the explosion occurred. Due to her special abilities, Lara Edmund, a member of the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), is included in the investigation. A second spy, Israeli Mossad agent Uri Levin, made the trip from Israel to participate in the operation. Lara and Uri will need to devise a plan to determine who is aiming for the United States. Will they be able to identify those at fault? Are they going to survive this operation? Learn more by reading this book.
The book's title is appealing to me. It accurately captures the plot of the book and serves as an overview. The writing was excellent, and the dialogue flowed naturally. The novel started quickly, which I enjoyed because it immediately grabbed my attention. The suspense in the book had me wondering what would occur next. My favorite sections of the novel were those that involved Uri and Lara. They were a wonderful match for one another, and their relationship was flawless. They were always professionals because they always placed their duty before their affection for one another.
Nothing in this book bothered me, and I did not notice any errors. This shows that the book was exceptionally well edited. As a result, I am rating it 5 out of 5 stars. I can't leave out mentioning the growing romantic attraction between Lara and Uri, which gracefully develops in this novel. Uri and Lara are vibrant, tough, and devoted heroes. Their relationship gives the series a softer, more intimate depth.
I give this book five stars out of five because I admire how Winnick formulated this story and gave an in-depth picture of what happened, who was involved, and what decisions were made and why. His writing skills are outstanding, which is why his series are so popular. Clearly, he knows a lot about the military and what's going on in international politics.
This book was simple to understand because the writing was straightforward and concise. Because of the book, I gained a lot of knowledge about Islam. I advise fans of historical fiction to read this book. I also suggest it to those who enjoy suspense, action, and thrillers.
