Terms of Service: Subject to Change Without Notice by Craig. W. Stanfill follows the life of a protagonist, Kim, living in a society controlled by artificial intelligence. Imagine living a life where everything you do is determined by machines. You wear what you are given, eat what is provided whether you like it or not, and you conduct yourself in a manner the AI dims fit. Obey the rules and you will be rewarded. Be disobedient and you will suffer the consequences. In other words, you have lost your freedom to the machines. Kim works with the AI training them to become logical. Unlike other society members, she yearns for freedom and is willing to do the work to get it. Kim stumbles upon information that changes her life and endangers it. Will she succeed in her quest for freedom, or will she be consumed by it?

I have to admit, the book was rather slow-paced at first. There seemed to be no life to the storyline and nothing worth pursuing. However, Stanfill managed to pick up the pace before diving too deep into the book. He introduced themes that one can relate to in real life and it made the storyline less stiff. Kim is made out to be a character that displays normal human traits. I liked how the author did not merely focus on her life of work. He also focused on her personal life. Like any normal human being, she had friends and she wanted to be loved. The author manages to bring out real-life themes through the protagonist that prevent the book from being too "artificial". These themes are friendship, freedom, self-discovery, and love. I also liked the suspense the author kept me in especially after Kim's discovery. It made me so eager to get to the end of the book that I could not afford to put it down before finishing it.

There was nothing for me not to like about this book. Terms of Service: Subject to Change Without Notice was exceptionally edited. I could not find a single grammatical error. The author managed to maintain an even pace. His vocabulary was spot-on. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book to lovers of science fiction. Those who like reading about technology would enjoy it. It is suitable to a mature audience. Different religions can also try it. It may come across as "flat" in the first few pages, but patience will make it worth your while.
