The book seems to explore a few interesting themes, and one I am particularly looking forward to is the Asian-American experience. Congrats on BOTD.

Prose poetry sounds like something I would like to delve into and learn from. However, I'm not impressed with this particular collection. Thank you so much for your informative review.

I will say Osaki is talented in a way with the way he does things. This review also brought into light various aspects of things that need to be learned from. Nice review and congrats on your BOTD.

Thank you for your great review. Poetry isn't a genre I usually read, though I did like the one about "My Father Holding Squash". I don't know if like is the right word as it made my heart sad. It is a shame that women are not shown as equals in his prose poetry, but I wonder if that is from past feelings or carrying on from what was learned as a child and not realized. I think I will pass on this one, but glad I got to read your wonderful review.

I don't really read poetry, but all four sections of this compendium sound exciting.

'Official Review: Best Evidence' by Mark S. Osaki has a solid introduction. It is a critical analysis of the story of the book for avid readers. The point that the author addresses sensitive issues like the resultant psychological trauma left on the Vietnamese people in America by the Vietnam war, as well as his experience as an Asian American in a predominantly white America is worth mentioning in the review. Also, the point that he is able to utilize even the most mundane everyday object to depict the depth of emotion, as mentioned in the review, is remarkable for readers. It was great to learn that the book sheds light on the issues of racial prejudice, war, and its resultant psychological aftereffects for readers!

You did a great job in positively portraying this book but because of the negative aspect of portraying women in a negative light, I will pass on this book. Thanks for the review.

Mark S. Osaki has scored a great score in major areas of this book, like the lyrical, embellished poems, and the critical issues explored here, and I appreciate him for that. Also, it's sure tempting to read about the author's exposition of Asian-American stereotyping. However, I hope Mark looks into the negative concern raised in this review as regards his negative and degrading portrayal of women.

Hey, your amazing review has taught me something new today; I had no idea that prose poetry existed. But, because of the unfavorable attitudes on women throughout the book as you highlighted, I guess I'll pass on this one. Congratulations to the author on BOTD; this is a superbly written review.

A unique collection of prose poetry illustrating the Asian-American experience sounds intriguing. I like how the book is separated into sections that highlight periods in the author's life. Thanks for the lovely review.

I'm not really a fan of poetry, and so I'll pass on this one. The fact that it creates a negative light on women is surprising and doesn't resonate with me. Congrats on BOTD!!
