I've only read the first chapter so far, but I agree that it's well written in a very easy flow. I'm glad that there are no errors in the book; that'll make the experience even better. I'm looking forward to seeing how the mystery plays out.

Congrats on BOTD. Despite being a crime novel, looks like this book will also teach us some valuable lessons about creating and maintaining good relationships.

Who doesn’t love a good murder mystery? Often the small more intimate settings make for the best story telling over the big cities!
We've longed to see the roses, but never felt the thorns
And bought our pretty crowns, but never paid the price
Find me in the river, find me there
Find me on my knees with my soul laid bare

This is an interesting crime fiction story of friendship, familial bonds, old vendettas, and mystery, all set against the flats of Southwest Texas. The book is temporarily free on Amazon Kindle and has a masterfully-written OnlineBookClub review. Congrats on the BOTD selection.

The cover and book title did not make me think of a crime story, but after reading the review I think it is a book I will enjoy reading. I am in total agreement that money is not the only measure for richness, human interactions and relationships mean so much more.

I love strong fond family and small-town vibes in books. Add the fact this is a murder mystery and I am interested in reading it. Adding it to my TBR.

It was a great review. It makes me want to read the book in the sense that it gives me curiosity of the murder case. The descriptions would lead you to what will happen next but it does not. And it really make want to figure it out. Anyway thanks for the review.
