This sounds like an interesting thriller and I would like to find out how Chris avenged his good friend's murder.

Chico seemed like a very inspiring person, choosing to meet new people rather than staying in his comfort zone and the wealth already in his blood. I wonder if there are more people who could admit that Chico was his mentor in the world but did not receive any news about his death. While Chris was a grateful student, protégé, and a son to Chico, the mystery was intriguing and I cannot stop to question what challenges and puzzles awaited the man trying to prevail the truth behind the death of Armando Chico Guerra.

The message in this well-written adventure mystery is important. One's success isn't accomplished in a vacuum. Great review!

Thank you for your review. I love crime mysteries and this one sounds good. My clue is the human relationships of the protagonist(s). It adds depth to the story. Laredo reminds me of Westerns but this is the modern day scenario and not that of the previous centuries!

I'm not a fan of mystery books cause of the excessive suspense but this seems worthwhile as the author shares the importance of relationships.

The BOTD has the interesting theme involving maintaining meaningful relationships. It reminds me of the phrase: "It is not what you know, it is who you know." This is relatable in all endeavors to obtain dreams. Nice review.

The protagonist's characterization in the form of Chris seems to have intriguing shades, and it would be interesting to know how this character unfolds when unearthing the killer.

Thank you for your great review. This sounds like such a great mystery and I'm so glad he explains it in simple terms and it is edited so well. I did like that first chapter. After reading your review, I have decided to add it to my list of books to read. After all, I already have it since it was free.

Nothing is as good as a well written crime novel, which this clearly seems to be. I like the fact that it starts in Texas and that some Mexican dialect is used. I can't wait to see if Chris finds Armando's killer and also what this will intail. Thanks for a detailed and we'll written review.

The plot is not interesting, so I doubt I will read it. The cover is perfect; a beautiful sunset. I read the review and the nicknames of some characters were funny to me. There are several Latino characters; I hope it's not a story with stereotypes.

Those who are bent on taking revenge should be aware that their lives as well are not safe and secure. This novel seems to be an interesting mystery fictional novel, I plan on finding out who the murderer is in this story.
