It takes place in Pennsylvania.delker02 wrote:I am looking for a novel that takes place in England, Ireland, United States, Italy, just about anywhere that has a good story to it. I would be interested to hear if any of you have any suggestions whatsoever of good novels you have read. Thank you!

If you're looking for something a little more contemporary, try Angela's Ashes, which is a memoir and set in Ireland. Also amazing.
Hope this helps!

Great book that takes place in England and Ireland is The Wanting Seed by Anthony Burgess. Written in the 1960s and set in the second or third decade of the 21st century. Food shortages, phony wars, compulsory birth control, and all other dystopic things. Very similair in setting to that of the movie Children of Men.

The book is called Nothing But Animals and it's a comedy. Would highly recommend it.
Check out the website: grant king fiction
In a totally different category I'd also recommend A New Earth (as soon as Oprah). It's great!
