"The Rock at the Bottom" by Cynthia Hilston is a story of romantic fiction. Stephen is the main character and his father and siblings hold him accountable for his mother's death since she died during childbirth. He used his imagination to keep his sanity. Stephen met Julie, they fell in love and were married. Can Stephen become a successful author, be a good husband and not end up a drunk like his father? Read the book to find out.

I’m curious to know if Stephen will do better than his father. Is he capable to take care of his bride? This will be an interesting novel to read.

Good review for the book, the rock at the bottom my take away, is the lesson learnt, not to let other people get so much in your head that their opinions define you.

Stephen had a very traumatizing childhood. I hope Stephen and Julie make the most out of their relationship. The book is a suspense, mystery and thriller book.

I love a book where I can understand what is going on in the character's mind, and this seems like one. Also, it was very interesting how you pointed out the lessons that you learnt. It is a very informative review, and I want to know more about Stephen. I look forward to reading the book.

Romantic fiction is always interesting to read. I am curious to see if Stephen will be able to get away from his father's influence or if he will follow in his footsteps. This book sounds intriguing so congratulations on BOTD.

This book has an interesting plot. Stephen's character has been through a lot. I hope his marriage goes well and he doesn't commit the same mistakes his father did. I like that readers can learn life lessons from the story. Congratulations on making book of the day!

I firmly believe that the things we don't fix in ourselves, we pass onto others. Looking forward to reading how the author tackles this idea. Congratulations on being listed as Book Of The Day.

Reading about Stephen strikes me as being interesting. I believe that Stephen has never liked his father's manner of life, thus with Julie as his wife, he has a strong chance of becoming a nice husband and father. I'll be adding this book to my library. good review!

Stephen truly went through a terrible ordeal from his own family.
I'm happy he wasn't depressed by it and moved on. I hope he found peace eventually.
Thanks for the inviting review and congrats to the author.

This book sounds scary and interesting at once. Often the traits of the parents always find a way of making it to the child. I hope he is able to make himself better than his father. I will surely give the book a read. Thanks for the concentrated review.

It's so disheartening to be falsely branded a killer by one's own family. It's even bad that one of the perpetrators is your father and a habitual drunkard. Thanks for the review.
