We have all watched movies where the villain wants a perfect world where everyone has what is required to survive, and the world operates in a unique and controlled way. Well, that's the case in this book, and that unique way is controlled by the AIs.

The story revolves around a smart, tech-savvy geek, Kim, who's been working with the artificial intelligence company for five years now and who lives in a world that is run and controlled by AIs. Yes, I know what you're thinking—what would living in such a world be like? Read this book to know more.

Terms of Service is a fictional fantasy book written by Craig W. Stanfill. It is a 489-page book with three parts and nineteen chapters. Even if many of us don't like the dawn of the new age of technology or hearing about how the world would one day be taken over by machines of various kinds, this is a book that gives us an insight on how life like that would be, and that's one of the things I liked about the book. I liked the fact that I got to know more about how efficiently AIs can work when set up perfectly, and the author did justice to that by carrying us along by showing us how things are run in Kim's apartment. Starting with the time she gets up from bed to what she eats and even what she wears, everything is selected by the house bot. I liked the headset that was being used by commuters in this book, as it served as a navigation tool to help commuters meet with their programmed routes designed by the AIs. Everything was so organized and planned, just the way I liked doing things.

Another thing I liked about this book was the metric point system being used by AIs to credit commuters for good behavior. There was a time Kim was rewarded by the AIs for good behavior. She liked it because she thought she'd eventually improve upon her current Baa2 cohesion rating and move from District 10 to someplace nicer, perhaps the edge of District 8 if she was lucky.

There was something I disliked about this book, and the thing is, I am not a tech enthusiast, so I wasn't very knowledgeable about this AI stuff, which made me unable to follow up on some parts of the book. I would rate this book four out of five stars because of my dislike of the book as described above. I did not find any errors, which means the book was well-edited. Furthermore, I recommend this book to readers who like sci-fi novels and who would like to learn more about AIs.

Science and technology has advanced greatly. The book explores the sixth generation of computer and how Kim thrived in a world controlled by AI technology.
I appreciate the articulation of your review.

While technological innovations make our life easier and more comfortable, we would not be that we lose sight of freedom and joy. I don't desire Kim's world, it's barren. Your review is wonderful!

I would definitely read this book. This is because it contains science fiction in form of artificial intelligence. I would also love to follow up on Kim's story. Thanks for the review.

This is an amazing book. It talks about technology, real world and virtual world. I love the way Kim was dedicated to her work even though her life was controlled by the AIs.Read this novel to know more about Kim’s adventure.

This sounds like a very interesting book, exploring what the future could be like one day. I don't think I'd enjoy a life like this, especially if there were no real choices in life - I wonder, where would the fun be? I actually enjoy picking out my own outfits. However, I'd love for them to pick out what to cook for dinner 😆
Thanks so much for a great review!

I have read the second book in the series " The prophecy of heron " and it was one of the best novels ever. Now that I read your review, it makes sense to me because these two books are related. I can imagine how fascinating this book can be and I will definitely give it a try! Nice review. Thank you very much.

In as much as I love technology and appreciate the use of artificial intelligence, I don't fancy AIs having a mind of their own or operating solo. This causes a major concern for me.

Terms of Service was fascinating to read. It was hard following up with the computer terms used in the Awakening but it did not subtract from the beauty of the book.

Terms of service is an interesting book that I’ll really like to read, especially after seeing a lot of reviews of it online. What’s like to live in a world that is controlled by AIs?

AI may be the rise of human civilisation as we know it or the downfall of it. In this novel we can see how too much technological advancements without care annihilated the whole human race.

Kim's life was boring. While she and Shank were pedaling down that restricted road? I was anxious to see what they'll meet. Great review.

I really enjoyed reading this book and I plan to read the rest of the serie. As you said I think Kim’s world is very well explained (like all the point system) and made it easy to follow for me.

The book's pacing could have been better, but I don't think it took away from the overall experience. While some scenes may have felt tedious, they served a purpose and helped to further the story. Overall, the book was a great read, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in science fiction.
