Terms of Service by Craig W. Stanfill is a dystopian novel set in a future society where artificial intelligence has become an integral part of daily life. In this world, everything from clothing, food, transportation, and dating is regulated by different companies, each with its own set of strict terms of service. The protagonist, Kim, is a junior employee at an AI firm who is promoted to a senior officer after an incident. As she delves deeper into the workings of the society, she begins to question its underlying principles and seeks to reconcile her beliefs with the reality she has discovered.

The novel's world-building is impressive, with detailed descriptions of a society that is both fascinating and relatable to our present reality. The author's attention to detail in explaining the various features of this advanced society makes it easy for the reader to understand and immerse themselves in the story. The use of humor throughout the book, particularly in the interactions between Kim and her fridge, adds a light touch to the overall tone of the novel, making it an enjoyable read.

I could not find any negative aspects of the book because the author's attention to detail is exceptional. The level of detail provided in the book makes the world-building so vivid that it feels almost tangible. The characters are well-developed and relatable, and the plot is engaging and well-paced. The use of inclusive language in the book also demonstrates the author's awareness of contemporary social issues, adding depth to the futuristic world. The editing was professionally done.

This book deserves a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. The author's use of humor, attention to detail, and well-crafted characters makes for an enjoyable and engaging read. The book is a must-read for fans of dystopian fiction and anyone who enjoys stories that explore the consequences of advanced technology on society.

The appropriate audience for this book is readers who enjoy dystopian fiction and are comfortable with mature content such as drug use and sensual situations. It would also appeal to readers who are interested in exploring the possibilities and potential consequences of a society fully controlled by artificial intelligence. The intricate details and explanations of the futuristic world might appeal to readers who enjoy immersive world-building. Additionally, readers who appreciate humor in their reading will find the interactions between Kim and her intelligent appliances entertaining. Overall, "Terms of Service" is a thought-provoking and engaging read for those who are open to exploring a unique and imaginative vision of the future.
