How fitting that this is the book of the day on Sunday! Is this a continuation of the first book?
We've longed to see the roses, but never felt the thorns
And bought our pretty crowns, but never paid the price
Find me in the river, find me there
Find me on my knees with my soul laid bare

Congratulations on BOTD. The book is biblical and historical. I love the phrase used to portray King Saul, "power-hungry mad king", it captured his total characteristics.

Perhaps readers who enjoy historical fiction based on the Bible might enjoy this. Unfortunately, this book isn’t for me. Congratulations on being nominated as the BOTD, though.

This is an interesting educational historical fiction book highlighting a unique retelling of the author's way of dramatizing the near-possibilities of events in the life of David. The book is temporarily free on Amazon Kindle and has an inciteful OnlineBookClub review.

I find the ancient story to be refreshing in the 21st century due to the author's writing style.
I particularly like the portrayal of the two main characters, Saul and David, and how they retell the patriarch's story. I appreciate how Saul is portrayed as a "power-hungry mad king" while David is portrayed as someone who blends like a shadow into the growing conflicts between the kingship of David and Saul's heir.

Many Bilble stories leave us with questions. Finding books like this retelling those stories while filling some gaps is interesting. I got this book today on offer! I am about to dive in.

A biblical fiction based on David and Goliath. As a non-Christian, it is not something that I am interested in reading, though it does sound like one of the more interesting stories from the Bible.

Witness divine intervention and the power of faith in this must-read for fans of Biblical history. Congratulations on being BOTD!

I am not a big fan of biblical stories, so I'm not sure this book would be for me. However, this review makes this book sound like something I may enjoy. Very well written review.

Quite a niche topic! I'm not into biblical stories, but the cultural aspects must be interesting.
Good review!
