Dig Two Graves: Revenge or Honor by Nick Vellis is a masterpiece. It was set in two different eras. In 1944, there was a war between the Greeks and the Germans. The Americans fought side by side with the Greeks, and that was when Lieutenant John Pantheras came in. He was a Greek-American and was fighting to save his fatherland. He had intercepted a load of valuables that contained gold, diamonds, etc., that was to be taken from the Jews by the Germans. He hid away most of it and used it to bargain for the freedom of the Greek Jews who were under captivity. It helped free a lot of them; however, after a particular fight between his men and the Greek traitors, John was nowhere to be seen, and no one knew where the gold was hidden, so it was presumed that he had run away with it.

In the present, Andreas Pantheras, son of Lt. John Pantheras, was murdered while looking into his father's records. He wanted to know if John really deserted the army, which he considered unlikely. After his death, Ceres Savas, a man who was a little boy at the time of the war and had been with Lt. John, had a notebook that contained a code that could lead to the gold. This notebook was given to him by John himself. It was left to him and AJ Pantheras, John's grandson, to uncover the truth of what had really happened to John, despite several attempts on their life by a powerful man who had more to do with the case.

I love the storyline. It was not entirely new; there had been different stories of the war, but it seemed original because of the way the author presented it. The plot twists used in this book were quite remarkable. The connections between the characters and the events may be looked at as ordinary, but they lead to the biggest mysteries in this book. Moreover, I applaud the author's style of interchanging the chapters between the two eras. He did it in a way that did not spoil the story's suspense but helped its climax. The author also had extensive knowledge of the war, which could be seen from the chapters of this fascinating book. None of the characters or events was unnecessary to the story. Everything written in this book, one way or the other, led to an ending that satisfied me as an avid reader.

There were barely any issues with this book. There were some grammatical errors in it that could have been avoided, but I must say that it was professionally edited.

I rate Dig Two Graves: Revenge or Honor by Nick Vellis 5 out of 5 stars. The impeccable storyline and the detailed and brilliant storytelling skill of the author made up for the grammatical errors in the book, and that is the reason I gave it a perfect rating.

I recommend this book to readers who are interested in mystery, adventure, and history. There is a decent amount of all three genres in this intriguing book by Nick Vellis. Readers interested in knowing more about the war between the Greeks and the Germans in 1944 should also get a copy of Dig Two Graves: Revenge or Honor by Nick Vellis.

its interesting how up to today we still learn new things that happened in the world wars. I wonder how much more is still out there, undocumented, that influenced the war and will they answer some of the questions still unanswered. Great review.

Thank you for sharing your review. It sounds like an intriguing book with a well-crafted plot that seamlessly interchanges between two different eras. The author's extensive knowledge of the war is evident, and the plot twists keep the reader engaged throughout the book. It's great to hear that the characters and events are all necessary and lead to a satisfying ending.
The difference between taking and giving, and taking and not giving is the difference between life and death.

From the title of this book, I could already guess there will be some element of horror to it. I love to read horror stories so I'll definitely check this book out.

I don't like to read stories of war and this seems like it has a lot of those. I'll let the fans of the genre enjoy this one.
