Do you ever think that one day the world will change, and we'll find ourselves in some sort of dystopian era where machines rule? The technology this present-day generation possesses might not be enough to make this a reality, but if it keeps improving, then the idea that one day AI could rule the world will not just be a theory but a reality. Terms of Service, written by Craig W. Stanfill, takes readers on an adventure.

Set in a dystopian era, Kim is an employee of a company responsible for programming AI. In this world, AI rules and controls every aspect of people's lives, from their diet to their clothing and even their sexual relationships. The AI awards a point to the obedient and reprimands those who are compliant by deducting points; these points are pivotal to living a better life, so it matters to the people. Kim doesn't like her life, but she doesn't complain; she is diligently compliant with the AI and does all it demands. One day Kim does something she wasn't meant to do, and she doesn't get called out for it by the AI; this leads her to question its control over her life. Kim would go on to wander far from the perimeter set by the AI and venture into the outer lands. It leads her to discover a different clan, which makes her question her existence.

I found this book fascinating; if the matrix and the hunger games were married and they had a child, it would be this book. The plot was quite intense, and I enjoyed the buildup of the story. I enjoyed the fact that the author was realistic about the machines, and it even led me to question the limits of present-day artificial intelligence. I must also acknowledge the author for his creative ideas about the dystopian era; the aspect where the AI enforced a neutral gender and pronoun on the people was a nice idea, and I like the fact that this book was set in a unisexual world, giving men and women equal rights and opportunity.

I found nothing to dislike about this book. I cannot picture this story being told differently; if I have the time, I'll read this book again because I enjoyed it, but for now, I must move on to the next book in the series as I am eager to see what's in store for the characters.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. Since I didn't find anything to dislike about the book, I think my rating is well deserved. I found no errors in the book, which indicates that it was well-edited. I would recommend this book to lovers of science fiction. I would also recommend this book to people who love suspense and are also fascinated by artificial intelligence.
