Addressing Systematic Discrimination by Reframing the Problem by Dr. Frank L. Douglas is a non-fiction book that expounds on the importance of incorporating equity and inclusion for all people, regardless of their originality, race, skin color, and socioeconomic status. Motivated by unlawful murder and cases of racism witnessed, the author addresses these occurrences through Self-Haven Dialogues (SHD) and interviews of individuals who have faced discrimination in their places of work and when seeking medical services. The author paid consideration to the desired outcome, the situation faced, the environment of the occurrence, and the problem statement. The author created Equity, Inclusion, and Individual Engagement Principle (EIIEP) to achieve his objectives and goals.

It is an educative book to read. First, the book addresses a worldwide concern of racial discrimination by many people in various aspects of life. The book, therefore, empowers every reader to pursue life, liberty, and happiness relentlessly. Secondly, including interviews with people who have faced discrimination projects the pain of racism, showing how intense the issue is. Thirdly, the author makes a clarion call to all leaders to ensure equity for every individual in all organizations and societies. Fourthly, the author recommends reviewing rules and regulations to accommodate the efficacy of equity, inclusion, and engagement of all people within the parameters of the set rules.

There are no aspects that I can report negatively about the book, Addressing Systematic Discrimination by Reframing the Problem.

I rate this book five out of five stars. I could not give this book a lesser rating since the editing is professional, and the subject and the themes are relevant to all individuals.

I recommend this book to senior leaders of any organization. Insights from the book will contribute to the overall health of the organization. In return, every participant will feel valued and recognized despite their backgrounds.
