Well, the LOTR trilogy, of course! I enjoyed the Anne of Green Gables books and the Chronicles of Narnia as well.

A series that I'd like to check out sometime are the Dan Brown/Da Vinci Code books, and I also want to get The Aeneid so I can read it once I'm finished The Iliad & The Odyssey. I love anything by C.S. Lewis, so I want to read the Cosmic Trilogy or the Space Trilogy or whatever it's called. Maybe Harry Potter, as I've never read those.

Outlander, definitely, is a favorite series. Also, I like the series of Inspector Lynley mysteries by Elizabeth George. They are not technically a series, I guess. But the books do build on each other, the characters' lives change and build. I love her mysteries--some of the best I've ever read.

The Dark Series by Christine Feehan is probably my favorite, although I like everything by her. Also the Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon is high up there as well.

Like one of the previous posters, I don't normally read series.

I read the first two books in the LOTR trilogy but never had sufficient compulsion to read the third.

In high school we were assigned the first book in Ursula K. Le Guin's Earthsea trilogy. Years later I read the subsequent two books and quite enjoyed them. The author's since added a few more titles to that series.

In college, for a fantasy fiction course, we read the first trilogy in Stephen R. Donaldson's Thomas Covenant series. Very excellent writing there.

The "Call the Midwife" trilogy, I was sorry to find out the author passed soon after the last book.
