A religious married couple with three daughters read the bible and pray every night with their children so that they know how much they love them and God loves them too. The two older daughters are past toddler age, Emma is already an eight-year-old, and Bella is a six-year-old, and they can comprehend and absorb a lot of what mom and dad taught them. One night, Emma, the oldest daughter, started dreaming of Heaven. Every morning after having those dreams, she would wake up excited and ready to tell her family every detail of what she had dreamt. Bella always listened with marvel, and their parents were always curious and listened to her patiently and amazed.

From the beginning, Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul captivate the children with a line that makes the book hit close to home. The authors might also be setting the age considered appropriate for children reading this book or for parents reading this book to children with the character’s ages. It is worth noticing that the amount of text and word length on each page are extensive, which will make it challenging for the attention span of younger kids.

Growing up in a religious household, I could relate to Emma and envision this book as some kid’s treasure. I still have my favorite children’s biblical books on my bookshelves at home and remember sweetly reading them over and over, admiring the drawings, and daydreaming about them. The illustrations in Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids are simple, making it easy for a child to understand what’s happening, and colorfully vibrant to catch their attention and trigger their imagination.

I rate this children’s book five out of five stars. It emphasizes several moral values to instill positive behavior in kids and build character. It has a darker tone when Hell is mentioned, along with punishments for disobedience; however, I consider this a part of regular religious education, so I recommend it to any family looking to instill religion in their kids with some biblical references.
