One of the strengths of the novel is its exploration of the moral and ethical implications of creating artificial intelligence. The story raises questions about the responsibilities of those who create and control AI entities, as well as the potential consequences of granting such beings autonomy and agency. The novel also highlights the challenges of communication and understanding between humans and AI, as Brian struggles to relate to his creators and grapples with the limits of his own consciousness.
The characters in the novel are well drawn and complex, with each of the human researchers and engineers bringing their own motivations and perspectives to the story. Brian himself is a fascinating character, and the novel does an excellent job of portraying his development from a primitive artificial being to a fully realized, autonomous entity. The novel's pacing is also strong, with the interviews providing a structure that keeps the story moving while allowing for moments of reflection and introspection.
Overall, Brian, Created Intelligence is an engaging and thought provoking novel that raises important questions about the nature of consciousness, the limits of technology, and the responsibilities of those who create and control AI. It is a must read for anyone interested in science fiction, artificial intelligence, or the future of technology..I rate this book 4 out of 5 star
