Your review was descriptive and well-written. I usually do not enjoy books involving witches. I wasn't particularly intrigued by the sample pages of the book. I found some overly descriptive scenes, which made me lose interest. So, I will skip this one. Congrats on the BOTD, though!

Upon seeing the title, I thought here comes some magic and paranormal stuff. However, the book's sample provided me with a lot of repeated confessions, and I kept thinking why won't she keep something for herself? This book is a 3 star. A nice book for persons who love spiritism ( witchery and wizardry) not truly my type. Azalea with all her powers should have stopped her parents' death and woulda built a mansion outta thin air for herself! She would rather work at a gas station at night! I guess witches would love to live normal lives too. The author anyway captured the 'witch- hunting' situation so vividly. Love the imagery, simple language (excepting spiritual jargons) and the theme of friendship and tolerance. When asked about what I learnt I would simply say 'The difference between a were-wolf and a witch.

I adore Azalea's social awkwardness, which is understandable with her upbringing. I agree the story and characters are relatable. I got captured as well after reading the first few chapters. I am eager to know what will happen next and figure out what the reviewer means about "never fully understanding the book's title before reaching the end."
