Frustrating Fascination by Debra McKenzie is a fiction book about Sean and his troubled life. Sean was married to Marina, who later realized she was a lesbian. One day Sean encounters the issue of being gay, and it reminds him of Marina. He joined the army with Bruce, and they used to hang out together. People suspected Bruce to be gay, which affected his career in the army. Sean started having dreams of being gay, and he couldn't stop but enjoy the feeling, making him doubt his sexuality. He saw Bruce as attractive and tried to avoid it many times. Will Sean and Bruce be together? If so, will it change him? If not, what will happen to Bruce? Read and find out.

The book was great and helped people discover and realize that they should be proud of who they are. It talks about people who have difficulties accepting their sexuality since they are not proud of themselves. The romance part was great since the author brought up the love story of Sean and Marina. They were happy with their marriage as they used to go to concerts and listen to songs as they danced slowly. The descriptive content made the characters familiar and engaging. The author described the characters' physical appearance so that readers may have that in mind as they read the book; for instance, Sabastian's appearance and the clothes he wore.

I have nothing to criticize in this book since it was great. The flow was good, and the lesson it teaches people struggling to accept who they are.

I rate Frustrating Fascination by Debra McKenzie five out of five stars. The book was professionally edited because of the few errors I found. It is educative in psychological matters such as accepting who we are, not just the sexuality but the whole you. The author brought the romance aspect well, ensuring readers enjoyed it. The description of events and characters was great; it made the book enjoyable. With all these, I find the book deserves a perfect rating.

I recommend this book to young adults struggling to be themselves. The book explains stories of people with similar issues and how they managed to be themselves. People who hate homosexuality should not read this book.
