Review of E M P Honeymoon
The fictional book E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer relates the tale of Kelly Turbulo and her husband Tom Turbulo and how their honeymoon became a life-threatening experience that they will never forget.
Kelly and Tom, who recently wed, are enjoying their honeymoon in Honduras. Tom decides to go scuba diving, while Kelly decides to take a tour of the neighborhood. She stumbles into a pigsty shop and is enchanted by how lovely the location is. The shop manager is nowhere to be found despite her search, so she goes to the rear. She finds a number of beeping computers in the back that seem to be engaged in some bizarre activity. Six boys pursue her out of the shop before she has a chance to take a closer look around. She calls her brother, Senator Mike, in a panic, pleading for assistance. She escapes the men and finds her husband later that day at the hotel, where she reunites with him and opens up to him about her dreadful day. Tom, a police sergeant, starts to look into the pigsty business since something about it makes him think more is going on. Senator Mike sends a squad to the other side to make sure his sister is secure.
This novel had a lot of aspects that I appreciated. I found each character to be fascinating. I praised the six-person team's methods. They appeared to have a solution for practically every problem they encountered. They had excellent communication skills and knew how to delegate work to one another. It was comforting to know that someone on the enemy's side was intelligent enough to see that what they were doing would cause the deaths of innocent people. I appreciated how the author concluded her tale about him, despite the fact that he ultimately emerged as the unsung hero. I admired how the president used threats and bluff to pressure the terrorist commander. In my opinion, he probably saved lives on both sides because he stopped a war.
I have some dislikes after reading this book. It has a lot of tragic events that laterally involve killing and burning down people's houses, which I dislike a lot, and it is emotional and boring, which may make it hard to read. Aside from those dislikes, however, the book is incredibly well written.
The writing in the book was excellent, and I found no grammatical mistakes. It has a strong plot, and the path leading up to the plot is engaging enough to keep readers turning the pages. This book receives a rating of 5 out of 5 stars from me, and I would suggest it to people who like science fiction books with a hint of mystery.
