Historical fiction is my favorite genre and I find the time period with Indian wars very interesting. This Jack sounds like an interesting character, being on the road with a mule that doesn’t listen, and running out of whiskey. I wonder if his luck turns and if his able to find out what happened to his mom.

Thank you for the intriguing review.

As a passionate fan of historical fiction, I've always been fascinated by the Wild West. I can't wait to experience the late 1800s firsthand and discover the fate of Jack. It promises to be a captivating journey.

The Old West era has always drawn me. Despite the amount of violence that occurred during those times due to the war between the Native Indians and the white people, it has a unique pull. I like the presence of humour to break the seriousness of the situation that the author included. It certainly makes the book more appealing. Also, appreciate a novel with well-developed characters. Thanks for this amazing review and recommendation.

A good review of a book that will interest anyone who loves historical fiction of the wild west. It was obviously a good fit for the reviewer, who enjoyed the humor and the tragedy. She noted the division of the story into 4 parts gave a reader a nice way to shorten the apparent length of the rather long book. That's a great observation, and may help a potential reader who is on the fence make a positive decision to dive in. I read the first chapter, and liked it.

This is not my favorite genre, but I may read more because of one of the observations of the Main character, Jack Peniell. He said "Half of life is hope, and that's the half that sustains the rest." you gotta read more about a guy who says things like that, and names his dog Chocolate Bar.

Thanks for a great review of a very interesting book of the day.

The book title sounds like some sort of gift left for someone. From your review, I think this is a thriller, with jack having to solve his mother's missing mystery. It's worth reading.

Not a big fan of historical novel but the character development of Jack seems quite intriguing. However this novel is better suited to those who enjoy reading violent stories. Great review!

Your comprehensive review gave me great insight into what Jack’s life must’ve been like. As I am not a fan of historical fiction, especially ones containing a lot of war scenes, I won’t be taking this book up. It also seems like there are too many graphical scenes which can be disturbing for many readers. Regardless, congrats on the BOTD.

The book has humour, romance and well-developed characters. However, the fact that it contains strong language, violence, war and historical context prevents me from reading it. I shall thus skip this one. Nice review.

According to review,"Bone Necklace" is a gripping and atmospheric mystery novel that blends elements of Celtic mythology with a contemporary thriller plot.Reader praised Sullivan's vivid descriptions of the Irish landscape and the complex characters she creates. Reader also noted that the novel touches on themes such as identity, memory, and trauma, adding depth and resonance to the story.

Overall, it seems that "Bone Necklace" has received positive reviews from both readers and critics. However, I encourage readers to read the book.

War stories can be quite sad, but when spiced with the right suspense and adventures it can be a worthy read. Thanks for your review and congratulations on BOTD
