This is a well researched historical fiction and the inclusion of pictures of some historical figures gives the story more authenticity. The author, generally, delivered well: the book is well edited, the characters are properly developed, and the themes and narration agree with the things typical of war scenes and incidents.

I've always adored historical fiction, and this book gives me new perspectives on a horrible period of US history. Some unpleasant truths of a horrible American battle are told through fiction. Regarding your BOTD Great Review victory, congratulations!
