Review of Gary Gets The Grade
Children will enjoy reading the book written by Brian Edwards, titled Gary Gets the Grade. You will learn about Gary, who, much like many other children his age, has difficulty with mathematics and requires assistance while reading. Find out if Gary finally did well on his math test by reading this book to find out if he got a good grade.
In this book, the main character, Gary, exhibits a range of feelings, including frustration and pride. Gary also conceals important information from his mother and his teacher. This book describes what a tutor does and explains that ignoring a problem won't make it go away on its own. The illustrations have a lot of vivid colours and are very appealing to look at.
The fact that a child can learn from reading this book that it is appropriate to seek assistance from others on occasion is one of the many reasons I like it. When dealing with a problem, it's important to remember that not all advice is sound, which is why I think it's great that this book teaches kids that lesson.
This book did not have a single aspect that I did not enjoy. I have the impression that children who read this book will experience anxiety once they discover that they need to consult with a tutor. However, this book can either assist the child in becoming accustomed to the idea of consulting with a tutor or explain to the child what a tutor actually does.
This book has earned 5 out of 5 stars from me because I believe it will be of great assistance to a great number of children who struggle with mathematics, and it will hopefully encourage those children to admit that they do struggle. I also really liked how colourful the illustrations were, and I think that they will attract a child's attention. The book has been edited to perfection, in my opinion, as I couldn't find any errors in it.
Children who are going to be working with a tutor because they are having difficulty in certain subjects, such as mathematics, can benefit from reading this book.
