Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula is a captivating and adventurous children's novel by R.F. Kristi about Inca, a clever Siberian cat, and her team of detectives. Together with Terrance, Monk, Polo,  Cara, Inca, Fromage, and Charlotte form a superb team of detectives that never backs down from a task.

It all begins when Inca and her team embark on a trip to South Korea with Missy, Inca's human owner, who has been chosen as one of four global judges for a significant cooking competition in Korea. Missy is thrilled to showcase her unique cheese to an international audience, but things do not go her way. Everything changes worse when her bag containing the cheese goes missing at the airport. As Inca and her team delve deeper into the case, they are confronted with more mysteries to solve. On their journey, the team also encounters Ye-Jun, who misses his sister and her cat, who is stuck in North Korea because of the Korean Demilitarized Zone. Inca and her team become committed to finding a solution to help Ye-Jun reunite with his sister and cat.

This novel is not only entertaining but also educational. The high level of information that this novel provides children is what I like most about it. It allowed them to learn about Korean culture and the significance of the Korean Demilitarized Zone. I appreciated the creative plot and the vivid descriptions of South Korea's culture and scenery throughout the novel. The first-person narrative style from Inca's perspective was also very engaging, and I found myself invested in her character and the cases she and her team were solving.

Another aspect I enjoyed is the ease with which young readers can read and comprehend this novel. It is truly remarkable, and I absolutely love it. The simplicity of the story is a breath of fresh air, making it more accessible to a wider audience. Another thing I find particularly impressive about this novel is the high quality of the editing. The novel is exceptionally well-edited, and I was pleasantly surprised to find no errors in it.

I recommend it to young readers who enjoy mystery, adventure, and learning about different cultures. With pleasure, I must say that this novel is an extraordinary blend of adventure, suspense, humor, and education. The characters are fascinating and lovable, and the storyline is engaging and captivating. There is nothing about this novel that I dislike. Therefore, I give it a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.
