Some existential themes seem to be central in this novel with the protagonist finding a reason to live. Despite the issues you pointed out, this novel is interesting for this reason. Thank you for your great review!

I appreciate the honesty of the reviewer regarding the stereotypical depiction of certain parts of the world in the book. While it is disappointing that the book did not consider the advancements that each country or race must have gone through in the future, it is commendable that the reviewer did not let this minor detail affect their rating. This shows that the reviewer values the overall quality of the story and how it makes them feel, rather than being hung up on small issues.
