Just newly married, Kelly and Tom travel to Honduras for their honeymoon celebration. Kelly goes to a gift shop to make some purchases. The gift shop turned out to be an undercover lair for a group of terrorists. Kelly manages to escape, and she relates her ordeal to her brother, Senator McBride. He sends his team to monitor the situation and provide protection for his sister and her husband.

Meanwhile, the CIA has been alerted to a possible terrorist attack on unsuspecting north Americans. To stop the launch of the electromagnetic pulse (EMP), capable of killing millions, they must join hands to fight Dear Leader and his evil plans. Grab a copy of EMP Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer to follow the thrilling action.

I enjoyed many things while reading this book. The plot is simple, straight-forward, and very interesting to read. From the first chapter of the book, the author had already plunged the readers into the action of the story. Readers would read about Kelly, already running for her life from an unknown group that seemed dangerous. There is a built-up anticipation of whom they could possibly be, what they are planning, and if Kelly will successfully escape. The author created mysteries here and there that would sustain a reader's interest. For instance, a mysterious man was spying on Kelly and Tom on the island and taking photographs of them.

The author also did her best to streamline the sophisticated scientific processes necessary for creating a ballistic missile and how to successfully detonate it. The length of the book and the chapters are moderate. So, it is not tiring to read.
Most of the characters, if not all, had immense love and devotion towards their country. Colonel Rhee and her team were ready to kill people out of their devotion to the Homeland Peninsula and their leader. Even though their devotion was channeled negatively, their actions were driven by love for their country.

I could only identify minor punctuation omissions. I believe the book was professionally edited. The only negative aspect of this book was that the plot was not very believable to me. How could Kelly, who was on her honeymoon, wander so far without her husband? Why would the terrorists not provide adequate security for their lair? Regardless, the story was easy to read and filled with anticipation. I rate it 5 out of 5 stars because of this. I recommend this book to anyone who loves reading suspense thrillers and detective stories.

Your review is great. Kelly and her husband find some things later on in the novel that turn their honeymoon into a type of detective work.

Your review is an interesting and informative one. I enjoyed reading it and I love the views you expressed. I also agree with your speculations of the Kelly being so faraway from her husband because it was their honeymoon.
