The book starts with our hero's view after having received a serious head shot and assumed to be dead. Thankfully a chaplain sees movement in his body bag, summons a doctor and his life is saved.

Thank you for the succinct review!

This book touches on many themes including historical fiction, action, adventure, and romance. I wonder how James manages his new life after being pronounced dead and surviving a bullet to the head and how his flashbacks affect his current life. Congrats on the BOTD!

An interesting historical fiction book "From Hell to Home" by DJ Power, which depicts the tales of corporal James Coleman, who struggles to perform his duty properly after the debilitating injury to the head. I want to read this book.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

Thank you for this review. The book truly stands out for its vision and narration. I reviewed another Vietnam War book recently that followed a similar plotline. It was Deady Water by Randy Miller. It is a great book as well that I would recommend.

From the review, it sounds like the book features a soldier suffering from PTSD. Also, from the few pages I sampled, the beginning created such suspense that I would want to read the whole book. I hope James doesn't suffer badly from the past wars and near-death trauma. Nice review.

This is quite thrilling and interesting. Having to have a second chance in life. I wonder how James was able to cope with the trauma of having flashbacks from his past life that he might not have been able to piece together.

Although I haven't read this novel , it seems interesting. I will really love to pick it. I want to know how James Coleman was still able to function, after surviving a gunshot in the head.
Congratulations on the BOTD

In this captivating historical fiction, "From Hell to Home" by DJ Power, readers are taken on a journey of bravery and resilience. James Coleman, a corporal presumed dead in Vietnam, miraculously survives and faces the challenges of war, duty, and his own haunting memories. The plot, filled with gripping flashbacks and selfless acts, immerses readers like a movie, while evoking a range of emotions. This well-edited novel deserves a perfect 5-star rating for its engaging chapters and well-developed characters. Recommended for those who enjoy historical fiction with elements of action, adventure, and romance, this book is a professionally crafted gem.

Very useful review, makes me interested in reading the novel! I couldn't imagine yet another book about Vietnam, so far back in time, would elicit such beautiful reactions from readers. I also liked the very well-written introduction, with a good plot and unique characters.

An amazing story, brought back to life from a body bag. James must be a very lucky dude, surviving a bullet to the head.

I like the title of the book as it suits the storyline very well. I love how the writer illustrated James ' life and from a head injury, seperation from his family and him trying to navigate his new life as a CIA.Just from the review i can see that it'll be an intriguing book to read as it looks like each chapter has more in store and not necessarily all that the readers can predict. Congratulations to todays BOTD
