"From Hell to Home" by DJ Power follows the fate of Corporal James Coleman. What makes this book of historical fiction stand out is an interesting plot with numerous details that make the story believable.

I can only imagine what James was thinking while in the body bag with his gunshot wound. How did he get that wound? Will he ever get to see his fiancee again? Thanks for the review!

This story sounds quite interesting. I really want to know why he cut ties with his family back at home though.

The author's use of flashbacks in the novel is a brilliant storytelling technique. It not only adds depth to James's character but also provides valuable insights into his past experiences and their connection to his present life. It's fascinating how these memories contribute to shaping James's actions and decisions. Your mention of the flashbacks has made me even more intrigued to explore the psychological aspects of the story and discover how they intertwine with the main narrative.

I'm not usually a huge fan of historical fiction, but this does sound exceptionally interesting! One of my biggest fears has always been being put in a body bag or coffin while still alive. I can't imagine that feeling! Great job on your review!

My husband was in Vietnam and fought in the war there so this subject interests me very much. The review was very interesting and gave enough of the storyline to make you want to read more. Good job!

It's a miracle that James was able to survive the bullet wound. I wonder how this will affect his work with the CIA. I love action thrillers, so I'll definitely check this book out.

I wonder why they asked him to stay away from his family and fiance. This is weird. The story is good, though.

I'm not much of a fan of war stories from Vietnam, but I am intrigued with stories related to post-battle integration into society. This book appears to fit that criterion and I may have to check it out. Congrats to the author on his achievement and BOTD.

Is this based on a true story? I can’t imagine it’s very realistic to place someone in a body bag that isn’t dead yet and then see them recover from a GSW to the head and be able to return to work at a high-level! If it is, wow! What a story!

This is a fantastic book. Historical books teach us some parts of history we might have missed and helps us to live through them. I know this will be an enjoyable read. Thanks for the review.

While I read historical fiction I'm hesitant about reading war stories. I already read so many and I'm not a fan. It seems like the protagonist had quite a journey. Great job with the review.
