Mary Grace is an intelligent and outspoken 10-year-old girl who loves her brother so much. Despite the fact that her brother Donny has Down syndrome, the family still adores him. Catherine A. Pepe's Donny and Mary Grace's California Adventure is a children's book that promises a lot of excitement and fun.

Mary Grace is happy with her life, but not until after her parents announce they are moving to Africa shortly on an important mission. It's bad news, but when her parents say Donny and Mary Grace won't be coming with them, it gets even worse. They will be staying with their grandparents in California. Mary Grace is not happy with this recent development. However, Donny is happy with the whole situation. This is the first time they both had divergent perspectives about something. How did they come to a conclusion? Would going to California benefit them?

I've always enjoyed reading children's books because of the gentle tone and moral lessons they teach. Each of the characters was properly developed and had a significant impact on the story's progression. Even though Mary Grace was only 10 years old, she appeared too intelligent for her age. I found her personality amusing. Additionally, I admire how her grandparents and parents educated them. When they were wrong, they corrected the kids so lovingly and gently. When the kids did the right thing, they were also praised. I think this can be a lesson for parents.

Change, rendering help to others, bullying, separation, and love were all talked about in the book. The author provided easy-to-understand explanations for these issues. I like how Donny's family treated him with understanding, love, and care despite his disability.

Everything about the book was amazing. I didn't dislike anything about it. The story progressed sequentially, and there were no mistakes. It was perfectly edited. I would not hesitate to rate this book five out of five stars. Going through this book, I learned more than I expected. This book restored my faith in humanity.

I prescribe this book to guardians, particularly those who have children with disabilities. Not only will this book serve as a reminder that they are not alone in this, but it will also motivate them to deal with the issues that young children may encounter. People who enjoy adventure and the idea of moving to a new place should also consider it.

Asides Donny's choice to live a different life, the care he was shown as a baby was a great factor. Parents love and care extends to their children. This is a book for all ages. Nice review.

This is an emotional story of Donny who had down syndrome. This book passed a powerful message to always be there for those who has different conditions. Love can make dem not to even feel the have a special condition.

I love how the author included a character with Down syndrome, it prevent kids with special needs from feeling left out. Thank you for your review!

I've never picked a children's book to read before. But I think I'll give this my first trial because this review made it look like a wonderful book to read.

I just selected this book because I like the title of the book and no wonder it is a good story, and how Mary Grace handle the situation.
