I had to Google what the word "quadriplegic" means to fully understand the magnitude of this book, but unfortunately, the description provided just makes sure that I will have to pass this one. Apologies, but no matter how the book ends for the memoir's author, I simply can't read anything related to hospitals and illnesses. Still, congratulations on BOTD!

I won't exactly say that I am feeling down right now but I am at that point that you just feel like giving up. Reading this review on Mike's memoir just revived my spirit. Thanks for this wonderful review

I was deeply touched by the story of "The little engine that could"! Such a motivational tale about a brave little engine! Thank you for this great review! It is very frustrating that Mark's therapist would put him down, as you describe.

This memoir sounds inspirational and it also shows how life has trials and tribulations but it's up to us to either give in or walk one step at a time to get back up. Kudos to Mike for not giving up and sharing his story with us. Amazing review.!

I read the sample of this book and I agree with the reviewer that this book deserves the top star rating. And, as the reviewer, I liked Mike's courage and perseverance - in the sample, these only related to his career-building efforts though. I also liked the little engine story and the old fable about the divinity of humans. All in all, this book is a captivating read.

Wow, what a fantastic story it certainly puts my life problems into perspective. I also love the analogy of the little red train, one of my grandson's favorite stories. Well done, Mike. I will most definitely be reading this book. Excellent review. Thank you!
