From a sampling, this seems like an interesting memoir about how a man went from having everything he could want to suffering a horrific accident that left him as a quadriplegic. This resulted in him losing his job and nearly losing his marriage. However, he did everything he could to recover and managed to get back what others thought was nearly impossible. It might be worth a second look. Well done, both with the book and your will to never give up.

The author faces an uphill battle after his accident, but his story highlights the significance of perseverance. I look forward to reading the rest of his story. Congrats on BOTD.

Memoirs are inspiring as they draw deep from true life's experiences. Mike must have had such a ride with faith. This should be a great read.

I cannot even begin to imagine what Mike has been through and the number of times he questioned his decision to keep pushing against the odds. In today's society, sometimes people forget due to social media what real life is supposed to look like: hard and challenging. Each day, we make decisions on how we approach the situations we stumble upon. I am glad he decided to share his story to inspire others, like Mark. Thank you for the great review!

One can only imagine how hard it is to be paralyzed with no one to lean on. The author is determined to do the impossible despite the discouragement from his therapist. I'm glad he healed from it and is now living a better life. Congratulations on the BOTD.

The author's courage, endurance, and perseverance during his difficult journey are indeed remarkable. It's uplifting to see that his friends and family provided support during his toughest times.
Words seduce and pages ignite passion. Let's get lost in the tantalizing world of literature together.

I'm happy that Mark was able to put down his experiences in a book. The book's to reminds me of a song that says 'take one step at a time, there's no need to rush.'

I can’t imagine going through even one of those hardships, nevermind all of them piled on top of each other. To overcome that injury is incredible and honestly a downright miracle. Thanks for this great review of an inspiring book.

This sounds like a very inspirational book. I’m glad that the author decided to share his story; I’m sure that many people would get an extra boost from seeing someone like him do the seemingly impossible. Thank you for the helpful review.

Michael L. McCord's book, One Step At A Time, is his own story of his recovery from a broken neck and all the ups and downs that it entailed. I couldn't imagine the strength that he had to possess to fight his way back from being a quadriplegic to walking again to climbing a mountain.

This book sounds like a great read to inspire you if you've found yourself set back on your life path due illness, injury, etc. If he can climb mountains again I am sure he can motivate someone else too.
